He founded Calligo Limited, it quickly emerged as a global frontrunner in utilising cloud based data, introducing revolutionary services such as Machine Learning as a Service. Under Julian's guidance, Calligo spearheaded the early adoption of cloud technology, launching the first public cloud dedicated to data privacy and residency in 2012 – a pioneering move at the time.

In 2008, Julian co-founded Virtustream Inc., an enterprise cloud service provider backed by venture capital. His role as CTO and Board Director was pivotal in developing their acclaimed multi-tenant ERP infrastructure as a Service offering. This innovation not only captured industry attention but also led to its acquisition by EMC. His journey in technology innovation began with VirtualizeIT Limited, a trailblazer in virtualization technology. From its inception in 2002, VirtualizeIT achieved recognition across the UK and EMEA for its excellence in delivering complex virtualization projects.
